Chapter 9 - THE DOCTOR WHO ERASED HIMSELF

The file was in a locked drawer. I didn't remember putting it there.
Inside was a single document. A medical record. My own handwriting.
Patient: Daniel Chen. Age: 42. Procedure: Voluntary memory suppression. Duration: 11 months.
I read the words three times before they made sense.
I'd done this to myself. I'd erased my own memories.
Why?
I flipped to the next page. A note. Addressed to myself.
If you're reading this, it means you've started to remember. It means he's found you again.
His name is Dr. Adrian Vale. He was my mentor. He was my friend. And he is a monster.
He's been experimenting on patients for decades. Hiding them. Erasing them. Making the world forget they ever existed.
I found out. I tried to stop him. But he was too powerful. Too connected.
So I made a choice. I erased myself. I forgot everything. So he would stop looking.
But if you're reading this, it means he's found you anyway.
May you like
I'm sorry.
Run.
