No return address. No stamp. Just my name. Handwritten.
I opened it.
Maya,
I'm getting out.
Not because I deserve it. But because someone on the outside is making it happen.
I don't know who. I don't know why. But I'm getting out.
And when I do, I'm coming for you.
Not to kill you. To talk.
There's something you don't know. Something Dad never told you.
The ledger. It's not the only one.
There are more. Dozens. Hidden all over the country.
And if you think I was bad... wait until you meet the people Dad was working for.
I'm not the monster, Maya. I'm the scapegoat.
They're the real monsters.
And they're coming for you too.
